Empowering Refugees Through Sustainable Entrepreneurship

The Solar-Powered Popsicle Factory
A social enterprise that produces and sells popsicles using renewable energy sources and local ingredients. It aims to provide affordable refreshments, create income and employment opportunities, and reduce environmental impact for refugees and the local community in Kakuma camp.

The Equipment Financing-Leasing Network
A system that enables refugees to gradually acquire production and sales tools, such as popsicle freezers, refrigerators, and carts. It provides refugees with the skills and knowledge to use and maintain this equipment. The network aims to increase access and affordability of essential equipment, enhancing refugees' capacity for self-sufficiency.

Inclusive Finance to Support Inclusive Energy
By providing production capacity to improve the consumption of electricity for production and enhancing the purchasing power of refugees, we can help refugees achieve better living conditions while promoting local economic development. We believe such measures bring more opportunities and benefits to refugees and the local community. Additionally, by providing inclusive financial means, refugees can afford essential energy hardware.

The Youth Impact Investment Research Center
A platform that engages and educates young people on the concepts and practices of impact investing, using the popsicle factory project as a case study. It aims to inspire and empower young people to become social entrepreneurs and investors, and to contribute to the sustainable development of their communities.
